Online cake orders without commission: your own ordering website
2 November 2026 · iacloud · Custom apps
It is seven o’clock on a Friday evening. The bakery phone rings: a customer wants a chocolate cake for Sunday, nut-free, with the name “Lucía” on it. You write it in the notebook, between flour and rush. On Sunday morning, someone else on the team can’t find the note. And that day, the cake isn’t there.
If you run a bakery or a cake shop, this probably sounds familiar. Online cake orders without commission are the way to end that chaos without handing part of every sale to a delivery platform. In this article we explain what your own ordering website needs and how you can try one today.
The problem with the notebook (and with the platforms)
Today orders arrive through three or four channels at once: the phone, WhatsApp, the counter and sometimes a delivery platform. Each one has its drawbacks:
- Phone and WhatsApp: fast, but everything depends on someone writing it down correctly and the note not getting lost.
- The counter: the customer has to come twice, once to order and once to pick up.
- Delivery platforms: they bring you orders, but they take a commission on each one, the relationship with the customer is theirs, and they don’t decide what you would decide (hours, minimums, custom cakes).
The result is always the same: forgotten orders, allergens not noted, overlapping pick-ups and a margin that gets lost along the way.
What a cake ordering website needs
A good ordering website is not just any online shop. A bakery works with dates, pick-up times and handmade products. These are the pieces that really matter:
- A catalogue with photos and prices that you change whenever you want: the cake of the month, seasonal specials, Easter cakes.
- Made-to-order cakes with options: size, flavour, message on the cake, candles.
- Pick-up date and time, with your limits: how many days in advance people can order, how many orders you accept per slot and which days you are closed.
- Clear allergens for each product and a field for customers to tell you about theirs.
- Confirmation for the customer that the order has been received, and a reminder the day before.
- A panel for the bakery with today’s and tomorrow’s orders, sorted by time, so anyone on the team knows what needs preparing.
And one more thing you don’t see but you notice: the website is yours. Your brand, your colours, your customers on your list, with no commission per order.
No commission: what changes in your business
When the order comes through your own website, the customer is yours. You can tell them about new products, remind them next year that their daughter’s birthday is coming up, or invite them to try your seasonal specials. No platform gets in the way or takes a cut.
The day’s work also organises itself. Instead of rebuilding orders from notes, messages and calls, you open the panel and see the list. Fewer mistakes, fewer calls to confirm and more time for what you do best: baking.
Try it yourself: the “Dulce Safor” demo
We have built a demo so you can see it with your own eyes: “Dulce Safor”, a sample bakery with its ordering website and its panel. On the bakery demo page you press a button and we create a copy just for you (the demo is in Spanish, but Nubo understands English).
With that copy you can:
- Place a test order as if you were a customer and watch it arrive in the panel.
- Ask Nubo for changes, our AI agent, by typing or speaking: “add the nougat cake at €26”, “don’t accept orders on Mondays”, “pick-up from 9 to 1” or “change the colour to pink”.
- See the change in a preview and decide whether to publish it or undo it.
The copy lasts 24 hours, allows up to 10 changes, needs no sign-up and uses sample data. In the demo, Nubo changes the simple things: products, prices, allergens, colours, texts, pick-up hours, closing days and the daily order limit. On your real website it can go much further.
How we do it at iacloud
We start from that proven base and adapt it to your bakery: your catalogue, your hours, your closing days and the way you work. If you already have a website, we connect it; if not, we build the whole site with the ordering section inside. See how we work on custom apps and what we do for the sector in hospitality and bakeries.
What sets us apart is what happens afterwards. We hand over the website with Nubo, our AI agent, so you can keep changing it yourself, just by talking: raise a price, add the seasonal cake or close for holidays. And when you want something more, like a new section, a button to order through WhatsApp or a message to the customer when their cake is ready, we do it with Nubo and the team. Every change is tested first on a copy and you decide whether it goes live. No waiting for the developer and no depending on anyone.
If your bakery is in Gandia or La Safor, we can meet in person; anywhere else in Spain, we work just as well remotely. The price depends on what you need: ask for a quote, no commitment.
In short
- Phone and notebook orders get lost; platforms charge commission and keep your customers.
- Your own ordering website organises dates, pick-up times and allergens, and gives you a panel with the day’s work.
- Try it today in the “Dulce Safor” demo and ask Nubo for changes in your own words.
